These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Drishti Studio, a macOS application for screen recording and video editing, and the website at drishtistudio.app. By using Drishti Studio, you agree to these Terms.

1. License Grant

Drishti Studio grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software based on the plan you have selected:

  • Free Trial: A 7-day trial with limited functionality (watermarked exports). No payment required.
  • Yearly License: Full access to all features for the duration of your active subscription.
  • Lifetime License: Full access to all features with no expiration and all future updates within the current major version (v1.x). Major version upgrades, for example v1 to v2, may be offered at a discounted price for existing lifetime license holders.

System Requirements: Drishti Studio requires macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later. Please ensure your system meets this requirement before purchasing.

2. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the software
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
  • Share, transfer, or sublicense your license key to another person
  • Use the software for any unlawful purpose
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the software

3. Free Trial

The free trial allows you to evaluate Drishti Studio for 7 days. During the trial, exports will include a watermark. After the trial period, you must purchase a license to continue using the software with full functionality.

4. Payment and Refunds

  • Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. All prices are listed on our website and are subject to change with reasonable notice.
  • Yearly licenses renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • Lifetime licenses are a one-time purchase with no recurring charges.
  • Refund requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase. Contact support@drishtistudio.app for refund inquiries.

5. Intellectual Property

Drishti Studio, including its code, design, name, logo, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Drishti Studio. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.

Content you create using Drishti Studio (recordings, exports, projects) belongs entirely to you. We claim no ownership or rights over your content.

6. Your Content

You are solely responsible for the content you record and create using Drishti Studio. You agree not to use the software to create content that:

  • Violates any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Contains malicious or harmful material

7. Updates

Drishti Studio may periodically check for software updates. These updates may include bug fixes, new features, or security patches. You can disable automatic update checks in the app preferences.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Drishti Studio is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Drishti Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the software.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the software shall not exceed the amount you paid for the software in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your license if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, you must stop using the software and destroy all copies in your possession.

You may terminate your license at any time by uninstalling the software and discontinuing use.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated revision date. Continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
