Camera layouts

Same take.Three ways to show up.

Switch between Presenter, Bubble and Split any time. Every layout is ready for Reels and TikTok.

A new species of screen recorder. Drishti Studio sets a new standard for recording and editing.

Camera cues

Your camera, on your cue

Drop cues on the timeline to switch between Camera Only, Bubble, Split and Screen Only at any point. The recording underneath stays untouched.

Aspect ratios

Record once, post everywhere

Turn any recording vertical without recording it again. Pick 9:16 from the editor's aspect menu, then choose Split, Bubble or Presenter for Shorts, Reels, and TikTok.

Camera layouts

Switch layouts anytime

Give your camera its own column, float it in a bubble, or stand in front of your screen as a presenter. Change your mind long after the recording is done.

Editing

Cut the mistake. Keep the take.

No re-record, no export to another editor. Cut a fumbled line in two clicks.
Drishti closes the gap and keeps your captions in step.

Captions window

Cut from your captions.

Read your take like a script, fix a typo, and hit Cut next to the line you fumbled. It becomes its own clip, ready to go.

Cut mode

Scissors on the timeline.

Click where the slip starts, click where it ends, delete the piece. Voilà! It's done.

The little things make the video.

Small details. Big difference.

Clear the desktop. Keep private details private. Bring your words, clicks, and shortcuts into focus. Then choose how you show up.

Camera background

You, minus the room.

Blur it, remove it, or swap in a new scene or your own photo. No green screen, no extra apps.

Hide desktop icons

Keep desktop, lose the clutter

Hide the icons while you record. Everything comes back when you’re done.

Privacy masks

Keep a little to yourself.

Blur the private bits, pixelate a detail, or spotlight what matters.

Cursor effects

Make a point. With personality.

Our own cursor sets, smoother motion, and clicks that stand out.

Keystroke overlays

Let them see the shortcut.

Your shortcuts, right on screen. Walkthroughs that click.

Karaoke captions

Every word. Right on cue.

Karaoke captions that highlight your words as you say them. Automatically.

Sound effects & music

Bring your own sound.

Drop in a whoosh, a click, a music track or your own voiceover. Layer as many as you like, trim each one, set its volume and fade it out.

Privacy

Your files stay local. No account needed.

No Drishti cloud. Your recordings and projects stay on your Mac. Drishti only checks in for license and updates.

Local files and processing

  • Recordings and projects: Saved in folders you choose.

  • Editing and export: Done entirely on your Mac.

  • Camera background: Blur, remove, or swap in a photo.

  • What you type and click: Stays in your project.

  • Captions: Apple Speech runs on your Mac when a model for the chosen language is available and macOS allows it. Otherwise audio goes to Apple's speech service, never Drishti, including when both Dictation and Siri are off.

Questions about Drishti Studio

Drishti Studio, if you want recordings that look edited without the editing. It zooms in on your clicks automatically, adds captions, frames your webcam, and exports for YouTube, TikTok and Instagram in one pass. Free to record and edit. Pay only when you export. Video export plans cost $9/month, $59/year, or $99 one-time for Lifetime.

When you first open a new recording in the editor, Auto Zoom automatically generates zooms from your clicks and typing. Every zoom shows up on the timeline, so you can move, adjust or delete any of them after recording.

Yes. Your camera records alongside your screen as a movable overlay, or side by side with it. You can remove or blur your background without a green screen.

Yes. Captions are transcribed from your voice with Apple's speech recognition in 9 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Chinese (Simplified). Viewers can follow along with the sound off.

Yes. The same recording exports as 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, or 1:1 for feeds. 16:9 goes up to 4K, 9:16 exports at 1080×1920 and 1:1 at 1080×1080, as MP4 or ProRes. Pick 9:16 from the aspect menu in the editor toolbar, then choose Split, Bubble or Presenter in Inspector > Camera > Camera Layout.

Yes. Blur or pixelate any area to hide an API key, email or customer name before export, and stack as many masks as you need. Spotlight keeps the chosen area sharp and dims everything around it to draw attention, without hiding content.

Yes. The app is code-signed and notarized by Apple, and your recording and project files are saved on your Mac and never uploaded. Setup asks for Screen Recording to capture your screen, then Accessibility for typing zooms, keystroke captions and zooms that frame exactly what you clicked. Microphone and Camera are requested only if you use them. Recording, editing and export run on your Mac. Subtitles use Apple's Speech framework: recognition runs on your Mac when the chosen language has an on-device model and macOS permits local recognition; otherwise audio is sent to Apple's speech recognition service, including when both Dictation and Siri are off. Drishti never receives the audio.

Drishti Studio is free to download, record and edit with every feature, including captions in all 9 languages. Saving SRT/VTT subtitle files and copying the transcript are free too. Exporting a video requires Monthly ($9/month), Yearly ($59/year), or Lifetime ($99 one-time, with all future updates). Every paid plan includes unlimited exports: 16:9 up to 4K, 9:16 at 1080×1920 and 1:1 at 1080×1080, as MP4 (H.264 / HEVC) or ProRes, with no watermark.

Any Mac running macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later. It runs natively on Apple Silicon (M1 to M4) and on Intel Macs.
